OXFORDSHIRE has been named as one of the top ten destinations for 'family friendly bed and breakfasts' in the country.
Releasing its UK rankings for National B&B Day on Saturday, the AA said Oxfordshire was the sixth best, with 44 establishments catering for children and babies.
Joint first place were Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
The UK’s top destinations for family friendly B&Bs are:
1. Cornwall & Isles of Scilly – 72 family-friendly B&Bs
2. Devon – 68 family-friendly B&Bs
3. Somerset – 67 family-friendly B&Bs
4. North Yorkshire – 65 family-friendly B&Bs
5. Cumbria – 47 family-friendly B&Bs
6. Oxfordshire – 44 family-friendly B&Bs
7. Norfolk – 43 family-friendly B&Bs
8. London postal districts – 41 family-friendly B&Bs
9. Gloucestershire – 38 family-friendly B&Bs
10. Kent – 37 family-friendly B&Bs
The AA ranked establishments based on whether they offered additional services and facilities to suit families with children of all ages including children’s menus, baby-sitting services, safe play areas and children’s entertainment.
