Prince, pictured right with Darrell and Uilani Demotta, was one of the entrants in the dog show at Goosey Feast in 1985, writes Alex Stamp. Attractions included a fete, children's competitions, craft shows and a fancy-dress contest. The event raised about £850 for the parish church.
The second picture was taken the same year at a fancy dress Boxing Day football match. The players waded through mud to keep the annual game going. The men's team, led by Phil Evans, landlord of The Pound public house, had a 1-0 win over the Ladies' team, captained by his wife, Roz. The match was to raise money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
