AN UNSUSPECTING cyclist only realised his bike had been stolen after spotting a picture of it on a police Facebook page.
Thames Valley Police is set to reunite the black and turquoise model with its rightful owner, after seizing it near Wantage on Monday.
The force shared an image of the bike on Twitter and Facebook, prompting one man to recognise it.
It was only then that he checked his garage and realised it had been broken into, and the bike was missing.
GOOD NEWS the owner of the suspected stolen bike seized on Monday in the #Wantage area has been found! They didn't realise it was stolen and when they saw the post on social media checked their garage to find out it had been broken into! Pls check security #reunited #goodnews

A woman commented on the Facebook post: "Thanks everyone for commenting/sharing - it’s my husbands bike.
"Have just checked our garage and [the] door has been broken."
