A man was taken to hospital suffering minor burns after a chip pan fire in his home in Marlborough Road, off Abingdon Road.
Firefighters were called to the first-floor flat shortly after 10.30pm last night.
The fire was out when they got there, but the occupant of the flat had suffered burns to his arm and hip. The fire brigade called an ambulance.
The man was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital by ambulance with minor burns.
