Two women were taken to hospital following a head-on collision at the junction of Langford Lane and the A44, near Kidlington.
The accident happened at around 10.30am today, and involved a silver Ford Focus and a Nissam Primera. Four casualties were initially reported.
Firefighters were called to make the scene safe and two ambulances and an ambulance officer attended.
A 38-year-old woman, who was in one of the vehicles, and a 59-year-old woman, who was in the other car, were taken in separate ambulances to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.
A spokesman for the ambulance service said their injuries were not thought to be life-threatening and precautions were being taken to protect the victims' spines.
The road was blocked for just over an hour while the area was cleared.
