YOUR article and pictures (Oxford Mail, March 8) regarding the Third World potholed roads in and around Oxford is shocking.
Are Oxfordshire County Council officials proud of the shocking publicity that their ineptitude and gross negligence has highlighted, the ongoing road projects that continue to keep failing disastrously through absolute bad planning like making the road too narrow in St Frideswide’s Square, who can ever forget the Cornmarket fiasco?
We as residents in Headington continue to live with the impact of roadworks now running five months past completion date on The Slade for the Access to Headington project. My boundary fence was damaged. A word of warning for Headley Way residents – take photographic evidence before work commences in their own area.
Time for a new leader to take control of this defunct organisation and perhaps a check on correct qualifications within the county’s planning department is now urgently long overdue!
