JEAN d'Alibert are based in Peyriac to the north of Carcassonne and specialise in making really top-class wines that are really excellent value for money.

Crisp refreshing whites and smooth rich reds are their hallmarks and quality is consistently high.

One of southern France's best-kept secrets, these wines are simply delicious.

The case includes three bottles of each of the following four wines:

Sauvignon Blanc 2006

Highly refreshing crisp and clean, this sauvignon has more fruit than many wines from the more northerly Loire and shows just how good southern French wines can be. Far better than your average Touraine sauvignon - delicious.

Chardonnay 2005

D'Alibert have produced a classically Burgundian style here with rich, ripe fruit nicely balanced against crisp refreshing acidity. This is the kind of wine that gives the Maconnias something to worry about! Superb with barbequed chicken in particular.

Pinot Noir 2004

"This Vin de Pays d'Oc Pinot Noir is cracking value, especially compared with similar quality Burgundy. Soft, mellow, fruity and gently spicy, it goes well with charcuterie and, when slightly chilled, tuna or salmon." Jonathan Ray, The Daily Telegraph.

Cabernet Sauvignon 2005

Plump juicy and smoky blackcurrant fruit with hints of herbs and spices. There is more fruit here than one would expect to find in a Bordeaux and a warmer, more rounded fruit style as well. This wine is perfect with red meats, barbequed food and spicy dishes. Soft, ripe and delightfully smooth.
