SCORES of people gave information to experts from the Environment Agency at a flooding surgery in Witney yesterday.
Feedback from people affected by the floods was vital to help plan for the future, according to the agency's area flood risk manager Geoff Bell, one of about 20 staff manning desks at Langdale Hall.
Among those who turned up were Bill and Iris Williamson, whose home in Grangers Place, off Bridge Street, Witney, was flooded.
"It happened so quickly, all in about one and a half hours," said Mrs Williamson.
"I'm not so sure they could prevent it happening again if there is so much water coming down in such a short time."
Mr Bell said the information they received would help draw up new flooding maps for the area and sharpen up flood warning information.
There will be another surgery in Abingdon's Guildhall tomorrow and at West Oxford community centre on Tuesday, both at 4-7pm.
