THIEVES stole a van after demanding its owner hand over the keys. 

The 31-year-old victim was loading the van in Blackburn Close, Headington, Oxford, when he noticed two people in a black Vauxhall Corsa drive past before turning around and parking nearby.

Police said one man got out of the Corsa and threatened the victim before demanding the van keys at about 4.15pm yesterday.

He handed over the keys and the robber drove off in the van heading down London Road and Lime Walk - followed by the Corsa.

The victim was not injured.

The man who demanded the victim's keys was described as Asian, aged between 20 and 30, about 5ft 7ins tall and of a slim build. He was wearing a black jacket and black woollen hat.

The man who stayed in the Corsa was also described as Asian, was aged between 20 and 30 and of a large build. He was also wearing a black woollen hat.

The vstolen van is a silver Vauxhall Vivaro and the Corsa is black with tinted windows.

Investigating officer PC Dan Hayward said: “I would like to speak to anyone who saw this incident, or who has any information which could help our investigation."
