TWO men held up a shop in Oxford with a handgun before making off with just three bottles of alcohol.  

The pair entered VCR Food and Wine in Oxford Road, Littlemore, on Sunday, January 28, at 7pm.

One of the men brandished a plastic bag which appeared to have a handgun inside while the other threatened a 55-year-old woman and demanded money.

They stole three bottles of alcohol before leaving the store. 

The first offender is described as a white man who was between 18 and 20 years old. He was wearing a blue balaclava, a black jacket with a hood and was holding the plastic bag.

The second offender is described as a white man wearing dark clothing.

The victim did not sustain any injuries during the incident.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Rosie Campbell, based at St Aldates police station, said: “If anyone witnessed this incident, or has any information relating to it, I would like to hear from them.

“Anyone with any details which they think could help our investigation should call the Thames Valley Police non-emergency number on 101.

“We are also appealing for any drivers who may have been in the area with any dash cam footage to come forward.”
