CHILDREN dressed as pirates and learned sea shanties during a holiday club organised by churches in the Cherwell Valley.
The 38 youngsters, from Fritwell, Heyford, Ardley, Souldern and Somerton, near Bicester, made parrots and snakes during craft sessions at the club in Upper Heyford Chapel.
They also played games, watched a DVD, learned jokes and ended the week-long club with a barbecue.
Ian Biscoe, curate of the Cherwell Valley benefice, said: "The children had great fun."
Pictured, from left, are Chloe Brookfield, eight, Joe and Isabel Briscoe, ten and seven respectively, and Sophie Brookfield, seven.
