CHILDREN in Oxfordshire are among the highest earners when it comes to pocket money.

Raking in an average of £6.70 a week, the county was named as the second highest earning location in the UK in a survey of 1,316 people conducted by brand Dr. Beckmann.

But children are worse off than they were in 2015 because their pocket money rates have not increased in line with inflation.

The majority of parents (83%) do not increase rates - either as their child gets older or in line with inflation - meaning many kids are beginning to feel the pinch.
