COMMUNITY Grants of over £390,000 have been awarded to support disadvantaged groups into work and training.
The Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (OxLEP) has announced six new grant awards to charities and social enterprises as part of its European Social Fund (ESF) Community Grants programme.
Groups that have benefitted include horticulture group Incredible Edible Oxford.
The new grants bring the total awarded in 2017 to over £390,000 and have been awarded to 15 organisations collectively providing work-related courses, training opportunities, and placements.
The other grant recipients are EMBS Community College, Film Oxford and Fusion Arts, Farm Inspiration Trust, Leys News and Oxfordshire Play Association.
Nigel Tipple, Chief Executive of OxLEP, congratulated the winners and said it forms part of Oxfordshire's 'world-leading economy'.
