BANBURY MAGISTRATES

NATHAN MOREBY, 34, of Jubilee Court, Banbury, admitted stealing an iron and hoover valued at £100 belonging to Wilkinson’s, Banbury, on October 24 as well as stealing six containers of sweets valued at £19 at Morrison’s petrol filling station, Banbury on October 31. He was jailed for 28 days suspended for 12 months and must pay compensation of £100 and court costs of £85.

PAUL FRASER, 30, of Clermiston Green, Edinburgh, was convicted of affray at Rocket, Corn Street, Witney on December 13. He was fined £1,250 and must pay a victim surcharge of £125 and court costs of £620.

CHRISTOPHER NICOL, 29, of Fauldburn, Edinburgh admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words against another at Rocket, Corn Street, Witney on December 13. He was fined £343 and must pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £85.

PHOEBE MARSH, 19, of Acacia Close, Carterton, admitted burglary at a dwelling at Witney on April 11 and stealing a pair of white jeans, a TV, various items of clothing and the victim’s grandfather cap to a value unknown. She was give a conditional discharge for 12 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and court costs of £75.

SIMON WEBB, 46, of South Street, Banbury, admitted dishonestly failing to notify the department for work and pension of a change in circumstances between October 24 2014 and November 24 2016. He was made subject to a community order and must carry out 160 hours of unpaid work and pay a victim surcharge of £85 and court costs of £85.

MICHAEL STANDING, 56, of Exbourne Road, Abingdon was convicted of speeding at Denham, Buckinghamshire by driving 43 mph in a 30 mph area. He was fined £440 and must pay a victim surcharge of £44 and court costs of £85. His driving licence was also endorsed with four penalty points.

PETER BIRO, 35, of West Street, Chipping Norton, admitted assaulting a man and a woman at The Wine Bar, Chipping Norton on November 4. He was given a conditional discharge for 12 months and must pay compensation of £328 and a victim surcharge of £20 and court costs of £85.

PAULO DINIS, 42, of Willow Drive, Carterton, admitted assaulting a woman at Carterton on July 5. He was made subject to a community order to include 50 hours of unpaid work and a 15-day rehabilitation activity requirement. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £85 and court costs of £85.

LUKE CLARKSON, 27, of Forest Road, Oxford, admitted possessing an offensive weapon; a baseball bat, and threatening to smash a woman’s windows at Pembroke Way, Bicester on September 29. He was jailed for four weeks suspended for 12 months and made subject to a community order to include 150 hours of unpaid work. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £115 and court costs of £85.

OXFORD MAGISTRATES

RAZVAN SPIRIDON, 22, of Marlborough Road, Banbury, admitted to failing to give information relating to the identity of a driver who was allegedly involved in an offence. He was fined £600 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60 and court costs of £85. He was also banned from driving for six months.

NICHOLAS SUMNERS, 52, of Dark Lane, Sunningwell, Abingdon, admitted to driving at 58mph in a 50mph zone, namely Oxford’s Eastern Bypass, on September 1, 2016. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85. His driving licence was endorsed with three penalty points.

MARTINS ARAROMI, 18, of Albion Avenue, London, Lambeth, admitted to stealing clothing to the value of £571 from True Religion in Bicester Village. He was given a conditional discharge of 12 months and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and court costs of £85.

MARTIN DAVIS, 54, of Stonehill Lane, Southmoor, Abingdon, admitted to drink driving with 120mcg of alcohol in 100ml of blood, above the legal limit of 80mcg, in Stonehill Lane on October 15. He was ordered to complete 250 hours of unpaid work and pay a victim surcharge of £85 and court cost of £85. He was also banned from driving for 28 months.

JORDAN HICKS, 18, of Stockham Park, Wantage, admitted to racially aggravated harassment, two counts of assaulting a man and criminal damage to a door in Masooms Wantage on October 14. He was ordered to complete 180 hours of unpaid work and pay compensation of £400, a victim surcharge of £85 and court costs of £85.

CHLOE BROWN, 34, of Brome Place, Oxford, admitted to theft by finding after stealing cash to the value of £40 belonging to Oxford Bus Company in Oxford on July 12. She was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay compensation of £40, a victim surcharge of £20 and court costs of £85.

SIMON LIGHTFOOT, 37, of Oakdale Court, Wallingford, admitted to taking a vehicle without consent, two counts of stealing gift boxes from Boots, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance. He was ordered to take part in a drug rehabilitation programme. He was also ordered to pay £308 in compensation.

CHRISTOPHER EDWARDS, 56, of Minster Road, Brize Norton, admitted to making a false statement in order to receive housing benefit to West Oxfordshire District Council between March 2010 and December 2015. He was ordered to complete 50 hours of unpaid work and pay a victim surcharge of £85 and court costs of £40.

LORRAINE GAUGHAN, 36, of Priory Road, Littlemore, Oxford, admitted to driving without insurance in Beaumont Street, Oxford, on May 1. She was fined £660 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £66 and court costs of £85. She was also banned from driving for six months.
