BUSES returned to Queen Street a fortnight ago and so far no casualties have been reported which is, as expected, with buses proceeding at a slow speed.
Regarding bus stops, the previous stop at the top of High Street by the entry to the Covered Market has been moved further down where the pavement is wider.
Perhaps it would have been even better if the two previous stops in Queen Street had been put back, thus easing the congestion to outward traffic in High Street through buses stopping to pick up passengers.
Another advantage to stops in Queen Street is they would cater for people using the Westgate and also passengers using Cornmarket, etc.
