THE opening of the five-screen Curzon cinema in the Westgate Centre has been delayed.
The rooftop cinema was due to open at the end of this week but yesterday the firm announced it would now open on December 1 as minor works still needed to be completed.
Fans of Star Wars have already booked their tickets to see Star Wars: The Last Jedi next month but the cinema is still expected to open in time for its release on December 14.
Over two floors, the cinema will have five screens, including an analogue 35mm projector to experience olden days of cinema, and a virtual reality area
Independent and international films will be shown along with the latest Hollywood blockbusters and a DJ nights and Q&As have been mooted for the bar.
In a statement Curzon Cinema said: "We will be having a soft launch from Monday 27 November, and we can now confirm that the cinema will be in full swing from Friday 1 December.
"We really appreciate your support and your patience - we cannot wait to welcome you to a fantastic cinema experience."
