A MAN was forced to surrender his car to a robber who threatened him with a 'sharp object'.

Police have appealed for witnesses of the robbery, which happened in Osler Road in Headington at about 8.20pm on Monday.

The victim parked his car near Headington Bowls Club and was immediately approached from behind by a man, as another watched on.

Police said the first man 'pressed a sharp object into the [victim's] back' and demanded he handed over his car keys.

He obliged and the two men jumped into the car and sped off.

The stolen car is a silver Lexus RX400h with registration number PX5 6U**.

Police did not say if the sharp object was thought to be a knife.

The force has released descriptions of the two men:

- The first was stocky with an Eastern European accent, approximately 6ft tall and wore a dark jacket.

- The second was also approximately 6ft tall and stocky, with short brown hair and was wearing dark clothing.
