THE rate of teenage pregnancies has fallen to its lowest level in Oxfordshire in at least five years.
New figures released by the Office for National Statistics revealed there were 9.3 conceptions per 1,000 women aged under 18 in the county in the second quarter of 2017.
The figure represents 26 conceptions – down from 44 in the first quarter and from 42 in the same time period in 2016.
In the second quarter of 2012 the rate was as high as 23.8 per 1,000 – representing 67 teenage mums.
