A SCHEME that helps foster carers is to be expanded across Oxfordshire.
The Government has given £328,309 to Oxfordshire County Council to create three new ‘hub homes’ for the ‘Mockingbird Family Model’.
The scheme sees experienced foster carers run ‘hub homes’ with other foster families, providing relief care, advice, training and social activities.
Oxfordshire has piloted the scheme since 2015 and has two ‘hub homes’.
The expansion will be rolled out during the next three years.
