Firefighters raised thousands of pounds yesterday after taking over a toll bridge near Eynsham.
More than £2,400 was raised as crews, dressed in full uniform, held collection buckets out for passing drivers at Swinford Toll Bridge.
The Eynsham fire station members organised the fundraiser in aid of The Fire Fighters Charity, which supports firefighters who are injured, ill or in need of psychological support.
The station's manager, Paul Ganderton, praised the generosity of drivers on its Facebook page.
He said: "Because of your very generous donations at our toll bridge collection, we have managed to raise over £2400.
"This is an incredible amount to be able to hand over to The Fire Fighters Charity.
"Thank you so much from all of the crew."
