TWO cars crashed on the A34 and caused queues of traffic.
The southbound stretch was blocked after the crash between Marcham Interchange and Milton Interchange at about 4pm.
One lane was blocked and closed and it is thought part of the central reservation was damaged, but traffic has since cleared.
Queues were stretching back from Harwell all the way to Kennington at 5.30pm.
The congestion spread to Abingdon as drivers cut through the town to avoid traffic on the A34.
A spokesman for Oxford Bus Company said its Abingdon services were experiencing major disruption as a result of the traffic.
South Central Ambulance Service spokesman David Gallagher said ambulances were called to the crash alongside crews from the fire and police services, but no-one was injured.
