A 66-year-old woman was verbally abused and then assaulted by a cyclist.
Sitting in her car at the Mansfield Road junction with Holywell street, the victim was approached by a cyclist who verbally abused her and banged on the car.
The man then went up to the driver's window and hit the woman on her right arm.
Police are appealing for information about the incident which happened on November 10 at about 10.15am.
The victim was not badly injured during the incident.
The cyclist is described as a white man with dark hair and a beard. He was wearing a dark helmet.
PC Melissa Mungal said: "This was an unprovoked attack on a member of the public.
"Anyone who has any information of the incident should get in touch via the Thames Valley enquiry centre on 101."
