PLANS for a new public space on the roof of Oxford’s revamped Westgate Shopping Centre have been approved.
The proposals are part of the centre’s £440m redevelopment and were backed by Oxford City Council’s west area planning committee tonight.
The new area will offer visitors panoramic views of the city and will feature a grass 'quad' with a canopy area for live performances and cinema screenings.
