Grove is to get a new 600-place secondary school.
County councillors have today gone for a new school in the village, rejecting the other options of King Alfred's Community and Sports College in Wantage running two schools or two separate schools for 1,250 pupils each.
The option of 1,250 pupils would have meant a cut in King Alfred's numbers but today's decision means there will be no change on the Wantage school.
