A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is being questioned by detectives.
Police said the arrest was in connection with an incident in Margaret Road, Adderbury, on Sunday.
A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said the 30-year-old man who was attacked remains in a critical but stable condition.
