Burglars posing as charity workers targeted two elderly pensioners.

Two women called at a home in Summerhill Road, Summertown, in Oxford, at 5.30pm last Tuesday telling an 88-year-old elderly woman they were from a charity arranging delivery of medication.

At 7pm, the women also knocked on the home of an 85-year-old man in Derwent Avenue, in Headington, claiming they had to install hand rails and fans.

They managed to get into both homes but nothing was stolen.

One woman is described as dark-skinned, possibly of mixed race, in her early 20s, around 5ft 6in with long, dark, straight hair.

The second woman is white, in her mid-30s, around 5ft 5in with long, untidy, mousy hair.
