LABOUR leader Jeremy Corbyn united with hundreds of party supporters to rally behind their Witney by-election candidate.
About 300 people poured into Market Square's Corn Exchange this morning, showing their support for Labour candidate Duncan Enright.
Addressing the crowds of supporters ahead of the poll next Thursday, Mr Corbyn said he travelled to the town to show his support for hopeful Mr Enright.
He encouraged supporters to paint the town red, adding: "We are the majority, we are the people, we are this country."
Labour MEP Anneliese Dodds joined the rally, telling the cheering crowd Mr Enright was the 'strongest' candidate.
Swarms of supporters left the hall armed with clip boards, ready to recruit votes for the Labour candidate.
The by-election was triggered when former Prime Minister David Cameron resigned as an MP on September 12.
