THE 32-year-old Oxfordshire man who died in a fall on a mountain in Snowdonia at the weekend has been named.
Christopher Parratt, from Oxfordshire, was with his wife Jennifer on Saturday, when he fell descending the east face of Tryfan.
North Wales Police said the couple became disorientated in cloud and Mr Parratt slipped and fell 25ft.
This evening, North Wales Police released a statement from Mrs Parratt, which said: "Chris was an adventurer who was happiest in the outdoors.
"Although the accident was desperately tragic, he died doing something he loved and in the arms of his wife.
"He will be deeply missed by his wife, dog, family and friends for his love, his kindness, his enthusiasm and his intense zest for life.
"An online book of condolence will be set up shortly.
"Donations can be sent in memory of Chris to the Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Team who did all they possibly could in the rescue effort."
