FASHION students at the Banbury campus of Oxford and Cherwell Valley College were all dressed up with somewhere to go.

Young designers and models were at Banbury Museum to take part in a fashion parade to show off their latest creations.

The teenagers were all National Diploma or Bachelor of Art fashion students from the college, and the show is an annual event that raises awareness of the courses and the proficiency of the students.

The cat-walk for the evening was the bridge over the canal that separates the museum from the tourist information centre.

Louise Andrews, 16, from Banbury, and Tara Phipps, 17, from Oxford, are both on the first year of the national diploma course.

Louise was modelling an outfit designed by BA student Lucy Poulton, and Tara was wearing a dress designed by national diploma student Hayley Bowerman.

Louise said: "I enjoy modelling. I've done it several times before."

Tara added: "This will be my first time on the catwalk, but modelling is something I'd like to do more of."

Both girls agreed that the fashion parade was an important event in the college year.

They said: "It is a chance for other people to see the high quality of design that students at the college can produce."
