WAR veterans paraded with 14 standards to a Battle of Britain commemoration service.
They were joined by more than 200 airmen from RAF Halton and the United States Air Force base in Croughton, members of the Royal Pioneer Corps at Kineton, Sea Cadets, members of the Air Training Corps and other youth organisations.
The parade to St Mary’s Church, Banbury, marking Battle of Britain Day in 1967, was led by the pipes and drums of the RAF Apprentices Band.
The mayor of Banbury, Patricia Colegrave, took the salute with Neil Marten, MP for North Oxfordshire.
