A MAN has been arrested following a police helicopter search in Witney.
Thames Valley Police said they were called at 9.57am to one-vehicle crash on the A40 between Witney and Oxford.
But no one was found in the vehicle at the scene and the police helicopter was deployed.
The force said a 23-year-old man from Witney has since been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to stop at the scene of accident, and driving with no insurance.
The man is currently in custody.
