PEOPLE in Banbury worried about cuts to maternity services at the Horton Hospital are invited to a question and answer session next week.

MP Victoria Prentis is calling on residents to send questions which will be answered by panelists representing both sides of the debate on August 25.

Although the four panelists are yet to be confirmed, it is thought they will include representatives of the Oxford University Hospitals Foundation Trust - which runs the hospital - and members from the Keep The Horton General campaign.

The event is being organised by Banbury Town Council and Mrs Prentis, who said: "All of us who rely on the Horton General Hospital really need to hear directly from the Trust why they are considering cutting services, and I hope that this question and answer event will get into the detail of the debate.

"It is so important that we have all the facts so we know what we are dealing with and what we have to do to save the hospital's vital services.”

People are encouraged to send their questions in advance of the meeting to victoria.prentis.mp@parliament.uk to ensure there will be a wide range of topics discussed on the night.

The meeting will take place at St Mary's Church and starts at 7pm.
