COUNCILLORS are being urged to refuse plans for 40 homes in the village of North Leigh near Witney due to the "devastating" impact it could have on wildlife.
Developer Kier Group has put in an application for the houses on land north of New Yatt Road, and members of West Oxfordshire District Council's Lowlands planning committee will be meeting to discuss the details on Monday (August 15) at 2pm.
Planning officers have said the development will "harm the rural character of the area".
The meeting, held at the council's Woodgreen offices in Witney, is open to members of the public.
