In reply to Patrick Kershaw's letter (Oxford Mail, May 30), how can he call it a one-sided police operation to fine cyclists who disregard red traffic lights?
There have been thousands of complaints about cyclists doing just that and putting their lives and other road users' lives at risk in doing so.
They investigated complaints of red light running and took proper action against offenders.
They should also take action on cyclists riding on pavements before a blind person or other disabled or deaf person is seriously injured.
Cyclists should also be made responsible for having a bell fitted to the handlebars and brakes that work properly.
