According to Trudy Wilkes, digital media manager at Newsquest, early statistics show that the sites are already making their presence felt.

"The figures for the Oxford Mail site for January show that 50,000 visitors made 500,000 page impressions," she said.

"Page impressions for the Oxford Mail have doubled since last April when the site went live, and now the drive is on to really let people know what it has to offer," she added.
