New Club B's Mark Washington hit a superb 16 dolls - but it couldn't save his side from a 3-0 defeat at Kings Arms in Section 3.

With Washington (5-6-5) leading the way and teammate Tony Comley chipping in with a dozen dolls, New Club set all three legs with 18-17-17.

But Kings Arms took the first leg in a three-stick shoot-out, and then took the next two legs with scores of 21.

White House came out on top 2-1 against Three Pigeons in a Premier clash which saw three sixes.

Three Pigeons took the first leg 31-28 with Roger Dell and Dave Townsend whipping off a six apiece.

The White House's Alan Goodgame also notched a six as his side recovered well to take the next two legs 32-26, 29-26.

Dave Homer (5-4-5) top-scored in the match with 14 dolls.

In Section 1, New Club A defeated Kidlington Sports Club 3-0, with lead-off man Adrian Shepherd (5-5-4) and Ronnie Wade (5-5-4) bagging 14 dolls apiece.

Andy Burns and Keith Quinall top-scored for Kidlington with 12 dolls apiece in the leg scores of 27-22, 22-15, 29-25.

There were mixed fortunes for the Democrats as they beat Ampleforth Arms 3-0 in Section 4.

While young Daniel Thompson was whipping of a six in his ten dolls, teammate Mark Thompson failed to trouble the scorers.

Richard Wyness (4-5-3) was the top man with 12 dolls as they took all three legs, 19-16, 18-15, 20-17.

In Section 5, Team Monarch edged out Cowley Con Club 2-1.

Chasing 16, Monarch's anchor man John Lucin clanged of the two dolls needed to take the leg 17-16.

They then made it 2-0 in a 20-14 scoreline, before Cowley anchor man Ron Pleece knocked off the two dolls required to take the final leg 16-15.

Vincent Dodd was a six-hitter for the Unicorn in their 2-1 win at the Barley Mow in Section 7.

Dodd ended up with ten dolls in the leg scores of 11-14, 15-8, 8-7.

In Section 8, the Blackbird ran oiut 2-1 winners over the White Hart in a tight encounter.

The Blackbird took the first leg 19-13, before sneaking the second on three sticks after they finished tied at 17-17.

The White Hart snatched a point in the 14-13 final leg.

Tom Bryant (4-4-4) hit a steady 12 dolls for the White Hart, while Garry Rees top-scored for the Blackbird with 11 dolls.

The Nelson defeated the Catherine Wheel 3-0 in Section 10, but only one doll separated the teams.

Jason Coates (4-4-4) clanged of 12 dolls, but couldn't prevent the Jolly Sportsman going down 2-1 at home to the George Inn.
