How I agree with everything in Lionel Lewis's letter about Radio Oxford (Oxford Mail, May 26).

He could have been writing that letter on my behalf.

Shabina Akhtar's voice early in the morning and her constant silly domestic chatter has annoyed a number of retired people I know.

They are all switching back to Terry Wogan.

Last year, I left for work at 7.30 so only had to put up with Anne Diamond for a short time, unless I had the day off.

I travelled to work with Terry Wogan - what a treat after Anne Diamond. Now I am retired and am still around at the end of Shabina's programme and she is driving me mad.

So I listen at 7am just to catch up on the local news, then by 7.30, I switch off. This is why Radio Oxford listeners are falling off.

It was lovely to hear Jan Edwards back on the airwaves recently. Perhaps Shabina should start taking lessons from her.
