Police yesterday issued a description of a bogus health worker who tried to get into a house and gain access to a child.
The woman was turned away at a flat in Lansdown Road, Faringdon on May 22 when she knocked on the door and asked to see a child inside.
She became aggressive when asked for identification and claimed to be a health visitor.
The woman is described as white, medium build, 5ft 4in tall, with black shoulder length hair, wearing a dark blue skirt, white T-shirt, a blazer and was carrying a handbag.
Oxfordshire Primary Care Trust has warned all surgeries to be on the look-out and put up posters alerting parents.
Anyone with information should contact police on 08458 505505 or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
