A MOTHER flung £10,000 of her son's drug dealing cash out of the window just moments before police raided her home, a court has heard.

Geraldine Bull is accused of allowing son Daniel Riley to store drugs at her home in Waynflete Road, Barton, during the summer of 2013.

Co-defendant Riley is also accused of possessing more than 300g of drugs with intent to supply them.

Opening the case at Oxford Crown Court yesterday, prosecutor John Law said police carried out early morning raids at Bull's and Riley's homes on July 24, 2013.

He told a jury of seven women and five men Bull threw a bundle of cash onto a conservatory roof while officers were knocking on her front door.

Mr Law added: "We say the cash she threw out of the window was what she knew or suspected was the proceeds of her son's drug dealing."

The prosecutor said a shoe box found in a wardrobe contained an Asda plastic carrier bag with 84g of cocaine wrapped in cling film.

He said the cocaine was 82 per cent pure, which would have cost £3,000 to £4,000 to buy.

Mr Law said Bull told officers the cash was holiday money and she "panicked" when police knocked at her door.

Jurors heard officers found one wrap of ecstasy in Riley's BMW X5, parked outside his home in Laburnum Crescent, Kidlington, which he pleaded guilty to in December 2014.

Mr Law said a garage in Queens Avenue, Kidlington, rented out to Riley, also had a rucksack containing a Sainsbury's carrier bag with 211g of cannabis and a plastic tub with 11.6g of methoxetamine.

He said Riley's fingerprints were found on the Asda carrier bag and one of the Sainsbury's bags, but he gave a no comment interview to police and remained "mute" throughout a second interview.

Bull denies concealing criminal property, while Riley denies possessing 211.82g of skunk cannabis and 11.6g of methoxetamine with intent.

The pair also both deny possessing 90.33g of cocaine, a class A drug, with intent.

The trial continues.
