A NEW range of a peat-free compost is being made from recycled garden waste.
Manufactured by Vital Earth, the Genie range has been endorsed by the John Innes Foundation, a plant research charity.
Genie is formulated from composted recycled green materials, forestry by-products and added nitrogen from nutrient sources derived from the food industry, which ensures that the compost stays fresh throughout the season, stored correctly The range comprises of Genie number one, for sowing and cuttings. number two for potting, number three for containers and established plants and multipurpose.
The specialised composts are packed in 33-litre bags, while the multipurpose compost is available in 50-litre packs.
Prices start from £4.49 a bag and the composts are available from good independent garden centres
