Caroline Wallis, 40, of Linnet Close, Blackbird Leys, admitted stealing £438.06 worth of alcohol from Tesco's at Oxford Retail Park, Ambassador Avenue, on September 13 last year. Also admitted stealing perfume and toiletries worth £291 from the same store on November 7. Handed four-month sentence, suspended for 12 months. Also ordered to pay £291 compensation, a £80 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Idris Ahmed, 19, of Faulkner Street, Oxford, admitted possessing 22.72g of cannabis, a Class B drug, with intent to supply in Oxford on August 5 last year. Handed a community order with a two-month curfew requirement. Also ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

John Walker, 35, of Kings Orchard, Brightwell-Cum-Sotwell, Wallingford, was convicted of racially aggravated harassment or alarm or distress by words or writing in Benson on July 9. Also convicted of assaulting Samuel Kimama by beating, which was racially aggravated, in Benson on July 9 last year. Handed an eight-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, with a 60-hour unpaid work requirement. Also ordered to pay £250 compensation, an £80 victim surcharge and £400 costs.

Stephen Rushmer, 55, of no fixed abode, admitted assaulting David Butler by beating him at O'Hanlon House, Cromwell Street, Oxford, on October 20. Fined £80 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge.

John Wrighton, 41, of Slade Close, Headington, admitted stealing food and DVDS worth £65.14 from The Co-operative, London Road, Headington, on September 12.
