IF there were any doubts it was really David Beckham who stopped in Barton for fish and chips, they were dispelled today.
A photoshoot with pictures of the football star holding a bag of chips in Underhill Circus appears in the April issue of GQ Magazine.
The former Manchester United midfielder and England captain was spotted there on January 28 and reportedly stuck around for about 15 minutes before being whisked away by a chauffeur.
Beckham was also seen in Little Milton on the same day, where pictures in GQ now show him holding a pint outside The Lamb pub.
Billed as 'the Patron Saint of Swagger', it is his first cover for the men's magazine. Oxford Mail reader Dan Steel spotted the shoot in the magazine today:
Turns out it was David Beckham at the chippy in Barton, Oxford. A @GQMagazine photoshoot!
