SCULPTURES, paintings and photography from 26 countries delighted residents as they enjoyed the third Oxford International Art Fair.

More than 150 exhibitors proudly displayed pieces for art enthusiasts to peruse at the three day event.

Organiser, Joelle Dinnage, said: "It went really well. We had just over 6,000 visitors, which was fantastic.

"We had lots and lots of people selling so that was really good.

"It has been amazing, every year it gets bigger and better so we can't wait for next year.

"My favourite exhibitor was Tessa Jane, who is a textile artist.

"What she does is really unique and her work takes months and months to do."

James Taylor, founder and owner of online gallery Poseytude in Thame said it had been a great experience for the artists it promotes.

The 44-year-old added: "We got a lot of positive feedback from people that came down and explored our exhibition.

"We were promoting four artists, two Polish artists and two Scottish artists.

"It is the first time we have been to the event and I think a lot of people understood what our contemporary artists were trying to do."

The art fair will return to Oxford in February 2017.
