A woman was held against her will for an hour and a half by two men who offered her a lift home in their car.

The 22-year-old, who has not been named, was picked up near the Port Mahon pub in St Clement's St, Oxford, at about midnight on Sunday.

Instead of taking her home, the two men drove the woman around for an hour an a half, before finally letting her out in Divinity Road, East Oxford.

The two men are described as Asian, aged about 18, with short black hair.

They were clean shaven, wearing casual clothes and believed to be driving a small three-door car.

The 22-year-old woman is white, 5ft 5in, of slim build with long dark hair and was wearing a black coat and black leggings.

Det Sgt Simon Steel said: "This was obviously a very worrying experience for the victim. I would urge people to always think twice before getting into a car with strangers.

"I would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed her being picked up in St Clement's Street or dropped off in Divinity Road.

"I would also like to hear from anyone else who may have any information about a car acting suspiciously in the area."

Anyone with any information should contact Det Sgt Steel on 08458 505505.
