Harry Potter star and former Headington School pupil Emma Watson has announced the name of her new feminist book club - 'Our Shared Shelf.'

The 25-year-old asked her 20.4 million Twitter followers yesterday to brainstorm names.

Today she revealed the winning contribution, after being inundated with thousands of replies and retweets.

Miss Watson has lived in Oxfordshire since the age of five and studied at Oxford University’s Worcester College.

The actress, who shot to fame after playing Hermione Granger in Harry Potter, was appointed as UN Women Goodwill Ambassador in 2014.

She declared herself a feminist in a speech in 2014, at the launch of her HeForShe campaign.
