ARTWORK by visitors to a church in South Oxford focused on the theme of migration with the help of a Romanian artist.
Neighbours of the church in Canning Crescent, off Abingdon Road, have been taking part in an art project called Safe to Cross.
Churchwarden Andrew Smith said the six workshops have been funded by the city council and led by Romanian artist Daniel Balanescu, from Jericho.
Mr Smith said: “ Daniel has a reputation for his running man theme, put together from lots of used train tickets, personalised by their users.
“Residents have been working on large-scale displays using the tickets. About 40 of them have been involved with seven of them writing a song, which was given its first airing at a carol service.”
