A man has died this morning after being hit by a train at Cholsey near Wallingford.
British Transport Police has confirmed the death following the incident.
Rail passengers are facing delays between Oxford and London Paddington after the man was hit by the train travelling between Didcot and Reading.
A British Transport police (BTP) spokesman said: "BTP officers attended the line close to Cholsey rail station after a report that a man had been struck by a train.
"Officers from BTP attended the incident, which was reported to police at 05.40am and is currently being treated as non-suspicious.
"Paramedics from South Central Ambulance service also attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene."
Great Western Railway has warned passengers that some services could be cancelled, delayed by 60 minutes or diverted following the accident at Cholsey near Wallingford.
The 7.57 from Oxford to London Paddington was cancelled.
A statement on the Great Western Railway website said: "Due to a person being hit by a train between Didcot Parkway and Reading some lines are blocked.
"Train services running through these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 mins or diverted."
"CrossCountry and Chiltern Railways are conveying passengers via any reasonable route until further notice."
