TRAVELLERS who moved into Redbridge Park and Ride are "co-operating" with Oxford City Council , the local authority has said.
About 12 caravans and 12 cars arrived at the park and ride in Abingdon Road, South Oxford on Saturday night.
The travellers have set up camp near where the new Travelodge hotel is being built and have taken up a number of parking spaces.
City council spokesman Chofamba Sithole said: "The travellers are co-operating with the council and we are working with them to resolve the issue amicably."
Earlier this week the city council told the Oxford Mail there were still enough spaces for commuters to use the park and ride.
The authority, which operates the site, has closed off the room where people wait for buses.
