IN NOVEMBER 2012, you published a photo I sent in of a group of men flail threshing horse beans on a piece of grass in School Road, Finstock. It probably dated from 1906.
Recently a rally of vintage/veteran tractors passed through the village (I think en route to Cornbury). The owners stopped and parked on the same piece of grass and went to The Crown pub for refreshments. I took the enclosed pictures of agricultural history being repeated.
