Police are urging people to check their car number plates regularly after two sets were stolen last week.
The first pair was taken from a vehicle in Crescent Close, Temple Coley, between Thursday and Saturday, August 27-29.
A second set was stolen from a vehicle in Ellesmere Road, in Rose Hill, between Friday, August 28, and the next day.
Police recommend motorists fit anti-tamper screws to their vehicles.
Witnesses should call the police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
